Daniel Goombi (Kiowa) is the Executive Director of the Midwest Native Coalition for Justice and Peace (MNCJP), an OVW funded Tribal coalition serving the Tribal communities of Kansas. MNCJP develops and implements culturally informed systems-based victim advocacy services by enhancing and strengthening current and future victim response programs within Kansas and across Indian country. Mr. Goombi’s history in providing direct services includes community-based advocacy while serving as a Tribal victim services outreach coordinator and lead victims advocate, as well as systems-based advocacy while developing and implementing Tribal law enforcement special victims response services. His victim services work has been recognized for the implementation of a community‐based response toward addressing sexual assault, SAFESTAR, as well as recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice with the National Crime Victim Service Award for professional innovation in victim services for the implementation of a Healing Through Art program.

Mr. Goombi is a graduate of the National Tribal Trial College and represents AI/AN victims in civil matters before the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Tribal Court. Mr. Goombi has worked closely with SWCLAP for the past 5 years and has been instrumental in coordinating tribal-state-federal collaboration on sexual assault responses in the state of Kansas, developing and implementing comprehensive Title IX victim services trainings for Tribal Colleges, and faculty to the National Tribal Trial College. He has presented at national conferences on Healing Through Art for Native Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Victims, Drafting & Delivering Victim Impact Statements at Sentencing, and Providing Comprehensive Advocacy Services in Collaboration with Law Enforcement Agencies.
